PowerBoost 1000C Issue: Very Early Low Batt Warning

Post by chiz » Wed Jun 29, 2016 1:19 am

During my burn-in test of my GB Pi 2, I noticed a strange behavior with the PowerBoost 1000C -- the red low battery LED warning flashing after a few minutes of use.

I started with a fully charged battery with the multimeter reporting 4.18v and recorded the following:
  • @4.18v - red LED is off
  • @3.84v - red LED rapidly flashing intermittently
  • @3.72v - red LED constantly lit
Spec sheet for the PB 1000C says low batt warning is triggered at 3.2v level but I'm seeing differently. This appears to be a known issue with the PB 1000C and being discussed over at Adafruit's forums.

Anyone else encounteres the same?

Yes, i've got the same problem with mine, but haven't had the time yet to address this issue.
