Safest way to solder multiple wires to one point?

Post by a3k4 » Fri Jul 22, 2016 9:28 am

What is the safest/best way to solder all of my ground (or power wires) wires to a single point on a board? Use a distribution joint to a single wire, then solder that wire to the board?

You could do that yes but maybe use a board like @Wermy did in his videos. I was thinking of making such a board and put it on OSHPark so it can useful for everyone and is one sided so no worries of shorting anything on the underside.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

Good idea! This is where @Wermy talks about using a prototyping board. I found these snappable protoboards on Sparkfun which are pretty neat but expensive, also Banggood has a bunch of options.
