Dremel bit for cutting metal

Post by Wetameetr » Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:06 am

Hi, I'm new here. I found your community in the internet search when I looked for Dremel bites. Does anyone have experience cutting metal with their Dremel? I have a Dremel 4200 with the new quick release Chuck. obviously the ceramic Dremel blades are great for cutting metal but they don't last because they grind away. I know that carbide and the diamond are the best kind of blades but I haven't been able to find any specific metal cutting blades for the Dremel. I want to cut open oil filters and other kind of awkward Cuts Like That. I want a bit that's reusable, any ideas would be cool. It's possible to get a bit that lets you screw down your own blade and fit that into the Dremel. So I know I don't have to get a Dremel specific blade. Ideally I'd have a carbide or Diamond blade that I can either attached to a bit and using the Dremel or a Dremel specific metal cutting bit.
Thanks.
