Is the mintypi compatible with the raspberry pi 3?

Post by farukhcasy2 » Tue Mar 31, 2020 6:30 am

I recently got the raspberry pi 3 and I thought a cool summer project would be a portable retro pie. I was wondering if the mintypi will work with the 3, and if it doesn't, is there any similar looking ones that do. I don't want to use one that needs an external controller, because those look ugly. I also have a 3D printer (the monoprice mini,) so I can print the parts. Thanks!

You mean putting a raspberry pi 3 into an Altoids tin? Not a chance.

You'll need to sit there an look at everything. How are you going to fit an LCD screen, 3d printed parts, the button pcb, battery, and a Pi 3 into an Altoids tin. It may be possible if you never expect the tin to close but at what trade off?
