@wermy @helder,

I'm looking forward to the custom PCB's! I've decided to build another GBZ while I wait for the guide. At least that will tide me over until then I hope.

Hey guys can someone explain me this PCB thing people are talking about..

What is the difference between the one on the video and this PCB thing?

Sorry im a beginner
It stands for "Printed Circuit Board." Helder and I are working on a custom one that you can use for the buttons and a couple other things, so you'll have a nice, clean machine-made part rather than one you'd have to cobble together by hand. Just much cleaner and easier. :) It'll be something similar to this: http://market.sudomod.com/kitsch-bent-gbz-button-pcb/
Sounds interesting!

I have a couple of friends that are willing to pay me some cash if I build one for each one.

My question is: will you sell PCBs ? Since im selling them to friends is it still worth it to pay for this extra part?

I'm actually working on 2 different boards and an lcd addon to make the project even easier to put together.

One of the boards is just a plain button pcb so there is no need for cutting up a DSi motherboard (although you can) or using the tape method unless you want to.

The plain pcb will likely be available before the other all inclusive board so it should be cheap enough to consider a purchase.

Wermy and I are going over some parts and the associated changes to the board and 3D parts that accompany them. Sit tight and in short order things will be available.

I initially wanted to do that but Wermy thought it was more work and time involved for a similar outcome of the available screen with pcb (these are SPI screens).

The addon board is to simplify the ease of install of the screen to the button pcb with Pi attached using a flat ribbon cable instead of wires like what Wermy did in his video showcase of the MintyPi.

This is purely optional and a wire install method can be used instead of this board but is there for those interested.

Helder has more experience with getting custom PCBs made, but myself, I'm not comfortable giving out an ETA yet. I'm eager to get it done soon - I'll keep you guys updated I promise. :)

I would like to point out that I am now no longer the only person impatiently pushing for information.

I will call that a win and move on...thank you.
