That's implying you can use any PCM2704, right?

Does anyone have a link on where to get the buttons? I am new and don't know which ones I am supposed to use. Thanks.

Edit: Do I use the silicone mold looking things? Or the hard pads and buttons? Or both?

  • Some 3D-printed parts (I'll have them for sale and will also share the STL files if you prefer to print them yourself or use a service like shapeways)
Where can we expect to find the STL files when you release them?

Look on ebay for Nintendo DS lite buttons and silicone membranes. Here are a few I just found. Search around you can find more colors and different prices. All you need is the start/select, directions, and ABXY buttons with the membranes. You won't need shoulder buttons.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/172012657924

Another way you can go about finding more colors is searching for "DS Lite Shell". It'll probably cost you a dollar or two more since you're buying the whole case, but they are more readily available and in more colors. Some of them have the membranes included as well. :)

Ok thanks! I was just wondering if it needed that silicone mold or not. So thanks for answering that.

Edit: Image These.

Hard to tell. The first image looks like the right one, the second one is not (different resolution and different number of pins). The title says it's the correct resolution, so it's likely the right one. That is a crazy price, though - mine were half that price with free shipping.

Maybe China is jumping on the @wermy band waggon and cashing in on the high demand :P
Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919

Start and Select are tactile button so no need for the membranes for those.

Wermy and I are looking into alternatives as I have spoken to you about it over PM, but it might be a cheaper and better alternative than what is out there but this again will draw things out a couple of weeks with screens being ordered and tested and new boards being designed.
