Hi,
So I bought a 2.2 screen. I don't remember where I bought it from as this was quite a while ago, but I just now read this forum. I saw the picture and I'm kinda worried that I don't have the right screen. So on the side next to the 9 pins, everything's correct except where it says O/C or D/C or whatever it is, mine says DC/RS. Is this a problem? I really hope not but your response would be awesome.
Thanks

What does the board look like, any pics? If it is an ili9341 screen it will work. But also, things have come a long way and there are a lot better options available now. Have a look at Helder's custom PCB thread, he still has some for sale.

If you are keen on using that 2.2" screen have a look at veterangamers thread where he using one:

sounds like to me that you have the

ILI9225 screen 176x220 and not the ILI9321 240x320 (could be wrong)

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-2-inc ... eLevelAB=5

they look very similar.....

Hey, I've been looking into doing this project for a while now, and since I have most of the parts besides the screen and battery now, I figured I might as well give it a try.

One question though; I was looking around for screens and I found this one:
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2-2-LCD-2-2-inc ... Sw0TxZZJSY

It looks identical to the one on the first page, and it uses the ILI9341. I just want to confirm whether or not it will work with this project before I order one, kinda paranoid since I've ordered incompatible parts for other projects in the past even though they looked correct haha

Sorry to ask dj505 but how can you have all the bits except the screen as Helder is selling the PCB with the screen ?

Maybe he's doing a copper tape board or he trashed his other screen.

I'd recommend this screen: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TOP-2-4-240x32 ... SwYIxX~ywA

with this backboard: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/zUNmnlLF

I’m a software engineer and this is my first hardware project. I’ve been trying to gather all the parts I need for the mintyPi but I’m sort of confused.

I missed Helder’s PCB / screen combo sale, so what do I need in its place?

1. Screen
2. Screen board (not sure exactly what this does)
3. Battery monitor (something like this was included in Helder’s board).
4. Button PCB (I could use Helder’s old style, I hope)

I appreciate that you linked a screen and a board, but based on Wermy’s guides, it seems like he states to use a 2.2 inch screen not 2.4 inch.

Am I making sense at all?

Thanks for any help!

Is this compatible?
Yes it is but you'll need Wermy's old 3d prints for the 2.2inch screens.
