well I don't have my own printer so I'll have to wait until tonight before I can start...
before then it's: work->pick up son from swimming->dinner->kids bedtime->drive to hackerspace->laser etch something that's time critical (goodbye present)-> PLAY!

What luck, the last two bits I was waiting for Speakers and DS buttons both turned up today :D

Looks like I will be able to PLAY! tonight ;)

STL files added to the first post.
Hey Wermy,

Thanks for releasing them as promised I said I would make a donation and I think it would be nice others that haven't purchased the 3D printed parts made a donation to show their support :)

Would you fancy adding a donate button in the thread or PM me your PayPal address?

Thanks again :)
Thanks. :). There's already a donate button at the bottom of the page.

As dumb luck would have it, I had the day off today! Not that I got to do much for myself.

Well. Except for this!

It's got a long way to go, but I'm loving the colour scheme!

*checks mailbox again for last pieces needed*

Darn!

j/k (but not really)

Great guide! I've watched it twice now and have read the written one as well. I've got my workbench set up to go, but don't want to move further until everything is here. Pretty geeked. I'll be coming back to work from paternity leave soon and was hoping to be able to have something to earn oohs and ahhs over. (my work area is surrounded by a bunch of adult kids and nerdy ones at that)

How crucial is it to use the other type of filament? Will I have problems if I print all pieces in PLA? My bed doesn't heat high enough for the specs for pc/pbt filament.

pla is more brittle so for the arm it's going to be particularly problematic, but it will still work, just not optimal

I think PLA gets a bad rap for that and may be brand dependent, but if printed at 100% infill, you may be surprised at the strength and flexibility. I think you should be ok with this particular print.
