Any chance an Adafruit Joy Bonnet Pack for Pi Zero W will work for this?

I can never get my timing right and get a button PCB from Helder for a mintypi, and getting the screen elsewhere probably won't be too hard, so I'm wondering if the Adafruit Joy Bonnet Pack, with some modifications, would work. Most of the stuff i need is already on it, so i would just need to remove the case, and find a way to remove the analog stick and put a D-pad on it. It comes with a Pi Zero W, a case (which i won't use), the Joy Bonnet, a USB OTG Host Cable, and a Mini HDMI plug to standard HDMI jack adapter. I wouldn't need most of it, but the HDMI adapter could possibly be used to connect my mintyPi to a bigger, external screen. I have a 3d Printer, and 3d modeling software, so designing some parts based off the available STL files wouldn't be that hard. The Joy Bonnet board has the same dimensions as the Pi Zero, so that would give me extra room in the altoids tin, and the possibility of adding a headphone jack. What do you guys think? Could I make a mintyPi using this board?

You are asking if you could use the Joy Bonnet Pack to connect to an external HDMI screen and have that whole setup enclosed in a custom 3D body that you would model, then print out? Yes of course that would work but you wouldn't have a mintyPi.

Not exactly. It would be a handheld device with its own screen, like a mintypi, but with the capability to connect to an external screen like a tv. Basically, a multi-emulator nintendo switch. It would function as a standalone unit, but could be used with a TV as the Joy Bonnet was originally made for. It wouldn't exactly be a mintyPi, but it is my attempt at it with the materials available. The body would be an altoids tin, like a mintyPi, but the faceplate and all of those parts that the STL files are available for would be slightly modified to fit the changes.

That sounds like a great idea. Please post here when you are done so we can check it out.

You could make a proto board PCB. I think that would be a lot easier.
