Clear 3D printed parts

One option that isn't shown on the store page, is what the clear 3D printed parts look like. I think, since the boards look so good, the clear might really show them off, but I'd like to see it before I place my order. Also, a multicolored print that is primarily clear, but has the logos would be extra bad ass.

I can not speak for wermy, but in my experience clear 3d prints are typically translucent and not "clear".....if that helps any

I believe he has stated somewhere that he will have a picture of it closer to when he has the build video completed.

Definitely true man, especially if the translucent would actually be clear. But the faceplate already looks smoother than it did before, with his new mozaic printer... So maybe, because it's smoother, it also is clearer...

Yeah, I think it would definitely look much better than the one that I pictured.

All the pics I've seen of the clear minty pi look frosted to me. Though that hasn't stopped me from ordering the clear 3d printed parts for the v3.

Yeah, it's impossible to print something clear because the more layers you stack the more cloudy it's going to get.

What if you make it out of clear resin? :) 3D-print a faceplate, use it to make a mold, pour resin in the mold, and voila, clear faceplate... :D If it's possible, of course... :| I don't know... :?

It's possible but is Wermy going to all that trouble for 1 or 2 people? No. But you could buy the face plate then make your own mold.
