Upgrading version 2.0 to 3.0?
I made a backup image of my 2.0 SD card and I'm wondering if I can assemble a 3.0 with a copy of the 2.0 SD card and upgrade the handheld through the mintypi menus to a 3.0 or if I have to start from scratch with a fresh 3.0 and manually move things over from my 2.0 card? I looked around and didn't see anyone else asking (maybe because it was a stupid question).

at a glance....
the answer to that is NO.....
two things (the major issues) that are different from versions/iterations
is
how the screen is powered or initiated...
and
how the sound is enabled...
these two alone will give you issues/errors/headaches (there may be more)
the best (and only) options is to start a fresh......

Yeah, what Veteran said. By the time you disabled the old minty pi v2 scripts for audio, display, battery monitoring, controls, safe shut down etc (basically everything)...And manually installed all the new scripts for the v3 you would have wasted more time that just starting fresh with the new minty pi v3 image.
There is no update minty pi v2 to minty pi v3 option in the images either, so just start fresh...
