I have always wanted to see analog sticks on a version of the minty pi. Will we see anything like that in v4?

For what purpose? All of the systems that use analog sticks do not work on a Pi Zero (aka, you wouldn't use it anyways). Plus, there is just plain no room in the tin so put the required hardware in to it. There is very minimal room with all the hardware that is in it now.

So if I found a game system that uses an analog stick, and had bought one analog stick, which gpio pins would I solder it to?

this was addressed in the mintypi faq also:

Is there room for analog sticks?

Code: Select all

Probably not, and would require finding something other than Retrogame for the input (it just spits out keyboard keys given some GPIO pin input, which of course wouldn't work well with analog sticks).
