Battery Charging Time Question

Post by robert-c » Sun Sep 09, 2018 6:33 pm

I just built my first minty pi and I have a few questions about battery charging. How long does it take to charge the battery. Also what happens if I charge it too long? Because I don't want to overcharge the battery by charging it too long, or is it that it will automatically stop charging if it charges to long.

Thanks!

The charge module has an overcharge protection, so you won’t charge too much. It takes about one hour for a complete charge.

When the charge is done, it will stop automatically.

Depending on the color of the 3d print as well you may be able to see the indicator lights from the micro lipo or tp4056 (or whatever charge module you used). When complete it will likely illuminate green or blue. While charging it will be red.

But yeah, like YaYa said, no need to worry about overcharge.
