Just listen to the video and images used that makes it work, put 2 layers of masking tape on the top since the connector pins are on the bottom of the connector and make sure all pins are connected to the GPIO points or it will not work.

I've done all of that and it still does not work. Will the next version of your board come with the screen pre soldered? Otherwise, I just need someone to tell me how to solder the screen directly to the board myself.

Please PLEASE don't put that pcb inside the tin like it is. You have so many sharp bits of solder on the back of the pi that you're gonna end up puncturing the battery. You must grind the solder off first.

You can solder the button PCB to the screen if you like, see those pads below the connector on the main PCB, those will correspond to the pads above the connector on the screen PCB....Although I don't know if that will solve the problem.

If you have tested continuity with a multi meter properly, and all GPIO points have continuity with the corresponding test pads than you should be fine (double check this)...Like 144TECH mentioned, maybe it has something to do with you not using a pi zero W?

Also, it would be a good idea to remove some solder so you don't have the pointy tips...

Is it possible that my connector on the screen board is broken? At this point I will just oder a new screen from here:

can someone validate that this is it?

No you don't, I use the same SD card between a 1.3 and a W version and it works fine. The problem is the LCD pin alignment plain and simple. Do you have a hot air rework station? If you do I can explain how to remove the connector and solder the LCD ribbon onto the PCB and problem solved.

No hot air rework station. Can I do it with an iron?
