Probably got confused, because the other way around (time ago) didn't work, but the later zero images work indeed..
Anyway i hope he fixes that thing there.

@topicstarter, it's not recommended to do that with an iron

Like Helder said, soldering would always work.giantflyingbirds wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:55 pmI've tested and retested over and over and I've got nothing. My connections all have continuity. I've tried aligning the cable towards the left, right, and middle of the connector, rebootomg after each change. I also have continuity between the Button PCB and the screen board. Someone mentioned something about checking voltages? I'm losing hope. : /
That's just the picture. It's straight.144TECH wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2017 5:04 amLike Helder said, soldering would always work.giantflyingbirds wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:55 pmI've tested and retested over and over and I've got nothing. But you cutted to ffc not straight, the first 8 contacts seem to come over, and the rest seems to be untouched.
You really have to make a straight cut, seriously, and thus not cutting away more of the ffc but just straight.
you can use a nice metal ruler and very sharp knife. altough soldering can work too but i would try first.
And, don't lose hope, because that's key.
