Down Button Sticking On

I've been working on putting together a mintypi v3.5 using the newest PCB with the tactile buttons. I've gotten to the point where I've soldered the board to the pi and hooked up the screen/speakers. The issue I'm having though is that when I try to navigate through the retropie menus occasionally the down button will get stuck and keep pushing down even when the button on the board clearly isn't being pressed down. It works perfectly for a period of time but then the button stays pressed down and I'm forced to restart the system using the magnet switch. I've tested the pads with a multimeter and the down button isn't connected to anything that it shouldn't be. I've tried re-flashing the retropie image but that hasn't fixed the problem. Does anyone have a solution for this issue? Thanks in advanced.
