Won't Power Up
Won't Power Up
So I have made all the connections and ensured that they are good. When I turn the minty pi via the battery, nothing happens. When I plug the pi in through the main USB on the pi, everything is up and running. Could it be the battery is just not charged enough? When I plug it in through the USB connection to charge the battery and turn it on, still nothing? Let me know what you guys think? Thanks again!!!

Re: Won't Power Up
I know when mine is completely dead it won't even turn on if plugged in until I've let it charge a few minutes. Otherwise you may just have some bad connections but someone who's got more experience than me with this stuff may know better. My guess is let it charge a bit.
Re: Won't Power Up
Thanks, I'll try that. I haven't charged the battery ever and it's been sitting a while. Let's hope that does the trick cause I checked all the connections with a meter and they say their good.

Re: Won't Power Up
Looks like the soldering on the 5v GPIO could be to blame. Rework this and add some more solder.

Re: Won't Power Up
I'll have to give that a try. The battery is fully charged and not working still. Appreciate the help I'll let you know how it turns out!

Re: Won't Power Up
Cool, post back. Do me a favor twist and tin your ground wire on your sound card and solder it back to the pad. Without your wire being tinned it will fray and potentially come in contact with the vcc wire / pad and short. Looks like it's starting to fray already.

Re: Won't Power Up
So I am at a complete and utter loss. I managed to pull the power boost to ensure that the connections are good. I twisted and tinned and redid P22 and P23. I'm still not getting power by the switch. I checked the connections again and all show a good solder. Here's some more pics guys. Let me know what you think. I also lost sound, but in the settings the volume control keeps going to 0. That's another battle. I'll do without sound for now. Thanks for help guys!!!

Re: Won't Power Up
What are your voltage readings when the power switch is turned on? Test the voltage on the mintyPi PCB and test the voltage on the Pi0. We need to know if and what voltage you're getting to and where in order to continue to trouble shoot.
For example, you get 3.3v on the mintyPi PCB we know sufficient power is getting there. If you're getting less than 3v on the Pi0, you've isolated your issue.

Re: Won't Power Up
Checo that the VCC on the right has voltage there if it does check the 5v GPIO to see what the voltage is. I had a similar issue occur recently on my brother's build exactly like your problem and it was the 5v GPIO needed a good joint. Best bet is to use a pin from a pin header and stick it in while the solder is melted to make a solid connection and while you're at it do the same for GND and be done with it.
