[Solved] Buttons not working

So I opened the mintypi to try and see if I could fix something, and after I screwed it together, the a, b, x, and y buttons stop working. I opened it again and noticed the buttons would work when I used the rubber pad for the d-pad on the other side of the pcb. I don't understand why some rubber pads work and some don't. I don't know if should buy new pads, wait for the silicone buttons by helder, or if maybe putting like copper tape on the metal pads to get the button to actuate or something. I assume the silicone buttons would work since the other rubber pad worked, so I don't know what my next action should be. What should I do?

Use alcohol to clean the contacts and the membranes and the pcb pads.

I've been disassembling and reassembling the mintypi after using alcohol wipes, and I'll gain access to one button then lose another. Is it still a problem with it being dirty, or is it placement of the rubber pad?

Might be a weak solder joint for the buttons, redo the solder in the GPIO for the buttons.

It's fine now. The b button I have to press a little harder than the rest, but it turns out the problem was I was leaving a little bit of the fibers from the rubbing alcohol pad on the metal.
