SOLVED: MintyPi V2 (Blue PCB) Button Help
The MintyPi is my first ever project like this, and I noticed that when I turn it on and everything boots up, my a,b,x, and y buttons are rather inconsistent in when they will work as well as the d-pad. For example sometimes the "a" button will work and other times it won't, most of the time it doesn't and for the d-pad sometimes it takes a couple of presses to navigate the MintyPi home screen. I was thinking about just leading a little wire from each of the holes on the Raspberry Pi for the a,b,x, and y buttons to the dedicated points on the PCB, but I don't want to mess anything up. If anyone knows how to easily fix this issue, it would be much appreciated.

Re: MintyPi V2 (Blue PCB) Button Help
First, I would make sure that you have good buttons. It sounds to me that the conductive pads on the buttons aren't making a good connection. Maybe even with the board down with isopropyl alcohol.
If the problem persists, check for continuity with a multimeter between the pi GPIO and the button pads on the PCB. If they are flaky, you'll need to reflow the GPIO on the pi. I don't think this is the case because the buttons are working sometimes.
Just out of curiosity, what character is printed on the board? Mario or Megaman?

Okay thanks, I will definitely try doing this and I got my board from Helder so it has the Mega Man on it.LilTrublMakr wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 3:08 pmFirst, I would make sure that you have good buttons. EDIT: I just tried cleaning the button pads, and everything seems to be working properly now, thanks so much!
