So I closed up my MintyPi V2 and when I tried booting up games like Super Mario World or Pokemon Fire Red, it would only show the launching screen and then take me back to the game select screen. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can have infinite power and infinite games to play? P.S. Only Tetris works at the moment for whatever reason.

What emulator or system? GBA requires a bios file to open games properly. Other than that you might have something shorted for Start and Select or have bad roms.

And before you ask for a BIOS file, Google is your friend. The correct file should have a MD5 sum of "a860e8c0b6d573d191e4ec7db1b1e4f6"

Thanks for the help guys. Shortly after this post, in a last ditch effort I looked around on some different places for downloading roms and got it to work. Thanks again for your speedy responses.

Do you know how to save load states because when I try to it doesn’t seem to work?

I believe you hold the function and then press the save state button to load the last save state.

For the GBA BIOS, is it fine if the file is just inserted into the same folder as the GBA ROM?

It needs to go in to the BIOS folder which I believe is /retropie/BIOS.
