No Sound (Complete noobs first project)

Post by Darkplume84 » Thu May 23, 2019 9:29 pm

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with my issue. I got the mintypi up and running but I cant get any sound from the speaker or the headphone jack. I have a continuity tester and all of my solders are good. I also tested the pinholes next to each other to make sure there was no connection. Here are a few pics that I thought would be helpful. If I need to take more please let me know. One is of the pi attached to the board, the second one is the speaker. I thought I was soldering the wrong points so I actually tried both the inner and outer parts of the speaker and nothing works. Then the last picture is the wire Im using. Maybe thats the issue? Any tips would be appreciated.

PS sorry for the pics not being the correct orientation. Not sure why its doing that.

Thank you

Have you tried everything outlined here?
https://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php/ ... o_sound.21

Also use the outer pads of the speaker the inner speaker pads have a tiny wire going to them that actually drive the signal for sound.

Another thing to try is to hook up the speaker and bridge the headphone bypass pads above the headphone jack and see if sound comes out of the speaker.
