the pins are all connected and if the micro usb is plugged in the it works fine. but if the usb-c is plugged in the screen turns on with a white screen then turns off a couple seconds later.

Battery plugged in? If not it won't work properly.

the battery is plugged in. the video i posted is all battery power and not plugged in.

Check that the TX pin is good and so is the power button doing continuity on both also check the battery voltage too then post back.
