MintyPi freezes and won't shutdown fully
MintyPi freezes and won't shutdown fully
So i've had my MintyPi done for a while and have always wondered why sometimes when im playing a game, it might freeze and I can't do anything. When that happens I try safe sutting it down by closing the lid. One part of it turns off (the part that emits a blue light), but the screen is still on/frozen and its just that the pie is still on, so then I have to hold the power button to cut the power. I'm still curious if that's supposed to happen, like if the game gets too intense then it freezes. I just want to know why.

Re: MintyPi freezes and won't shutdown fully
Might be over heating or overclocked and needs to be a little underclocked. I think the Pi is overclocked on the mintyPi image and not all Raspberry Pi 0w will work at the same overclock speeds but 90% of them will at the settings we have setup. To change the setting you can do it in the SSH terminal by editing the config.txt file in the boot directory or put the SD card in a PC and edit the file that way.

I think it's at 1000 the setting just try to decrease by 50 so make it 950. If it doesn't freeze you're good and if it does then try to go down another 50. It will say: arm_freq=1000

Re: MintyPi freezes and won't shutdown fully
Thanks for the advice. It was actually arm_freq=800 but that doesn't matter. I lowered it to 750 and so far, it hasnt frozen. Thank you again and Ihave to say , your pretty epic my dude.
