I think I received a defective battery: after the initial charge was used up, it died and won't charge at all. I thought that it was just a loose red wire like others have experienced (it was hanging on by a thread), but after re-stripping both wires and refreshing the solder, it still won't charge at all.

I've sent you an email.
I have responded your email

As stated by manufacturer constant working current can be up to 3.2A. Which should also allow short term higher currents but is not recomended ;)
But if someone had tested this please let us know if there is any deviation from that number.

Hi,

I've ordered a battery 6 days ago, I received the shipping confirmation mail, but the tracking number still tell me "No shipping record" !
Do I have to worry about or you think it's ok ?? (my order is the #1548 one)

Thanks !

Did you get the battery in the end? I Ordered one myself a week ago, and besides an automatic orderconfirmation i did not get any updates.
I'm tring to find out if i should wait or order something from china.

Hey,

To be honest, I still have nothing. Dextech answered me on the 1st of october by mail to not worried yet. But I'm still waiting for updates they should send to me...

In addition to this, I spoke earlier with Helder about why he doesn't ship to France anymore, and he explained to me that he had many issues with shipping to France (lost parcels etc..), so if you don't have the chance to live in this beautifull country, you may get your stuff faster ;)

I bought various time some stuff from China, and I allways received the stuff, but sometimes it's longer than anounced...

Hi guys,
there was a delay in orders processing because there were holidays in China from Oct 1-7. All orders got processed since and should be on their way. You should receive automated order confirmation and once shipped update about that. Hope you all get your batteries soon.

Hi,

@Elayor I finally received my battery 2 days ago, I can't wait to test it, it's exactly as explained, in a light box, the size is perfect fit for the game boy case, as expected, so as usual for shipping from China, you have to be patient but I received it with no problem at all (expect I didn't plug it now but I will soon ;) )

Thanks.

hey,

so unfortunately I somehow managed to rip things apart... (see the image)
Image
I'd like to fix things but I'm awfully afraid of soldering anything battery related. can someone guide me how to find out the polarity of the batteries pcb, please?
hints, instructions or warnings are very welcome!

thanks in advance

these battery will have a protection board...
this is where the positive and negative wires are soldered/connected too (the ones that have become detached)

some thing similar to this...
(its the board thats showing under the blue wrapping on your)

NOTE:
the board in this battery may/will not be the same...

but nearly all I've seen will have clear soldered/connection point/pads with appropriate markings indicating which is positive and which is negative....

a rule of thumb is generally not to pierce or expose a LIPO battery....
but in your case (I COULD BE WRONG) the blue wrapping is just there to keep the actual LIPO battery safe/secure
(I think there are more than one actual LIPO battery under the blue wrapping)

Personally I would just expose the board a little bit more and not to completely unwrap the blue wrapping....
and proving your competent in basic soldering you only need to see on the board where the positive/negative points are and carefully solder the wires back onto the the board....

and then just use some kapton tape to seal everything up....
you could also use some electrical insulation tape

you are doing this at your own risk....
if you are unsure about any of this...
then just buy a new battery
