I'm with you. While there is a cool novelty factor in having the micro SD in a game cart, it's not very useful or practical, and it's a major pain to get perfect! Most builds will utilize the Zero W, so you can adjust files via wifi.

If you're using one of Kites SAIO kits, the micro SD is already moved to the side, making it easily accessible.
The custom cartridge is cool if you want to have different ones with different kind of games instead of getting one of those 2000+ games you are never gonna play. Replacing the internal Pi SD is not that much of a hassle as you pointed there.

However, I guess I read Kite saying that using the PRS custom board with his SAIO cause some sort of signal interferences so it's probably even better to find a better of use for that empty space. Either to use a larger battery or these shoulder buttons are both good ideas.

Heading to the post office today to figure out shipping prices. As my original plan wasn't to sell in sets, I don't have many buttons off hand at the moment. I've since ordered more but at the moment I can make 4 complete sets. If anyone is still interested in buying the bracket by itself I will always have that "in stock " as I have my own printer haha.

As of now from asking around,I feel like 15$ usd will be a fair price for the set, including bracket, screws, buttons, and caps with color of your choice. I will also offer the bracket itself for 12$.

I came to these prices by asking around the community, as well as weighing it against other 3d printed objects sold around sudomod, comparing complexity of the model and usefulness to the project. I believe this price to be fair but I am of course always open to community input!

I assume that doesn't include postage? If not, how much to post to the UK?

edit: also what colour buttons are available for the kits?

Also, I will have to check postage to UK. I was trying to get some shipping quotes but this weekend has been unexpectedly busy for me and havent had the chance to stop by the post office . As soon as I get a quote to the UK , I'll post back here. Probably within the next few days. Tha k you for your interest !

I'd be interested in the Bracket, but i'm located in the UK so postage and customs charges may be prohibitive.

Would you be willing to sell the .stl (obviously with non-distribution rights)

So talked to post office and looks like postage withing the US will be about $2.60. I checked postage to UK for those asking and yikes, pretty much same price as the product itself haha about 15$. That's through USPS.

If any UK members know of a cheaper service or any tricks to get it cheaper, please let me know. I don't mind shipping to UK but that will be more expensive on buyer so not sure if it's worth it for you. I could maybe make a deal for you so it's worth it. Maybe buy a set and I'll add a second bracket for the UK customers .

As of now I'm not really interested in selling the stl but I will give it some serious thought and may offer that in the future for the international members.

Hey,

I am interested in the bracket, but I am also international.
Could you check for pricing on post to Australia for me if it is not to much trouble?
