[For Sale] Shoulder Button L1,R1,L2,R2 Brackets (All Kinds!)

Edit 10/21/19 : Sale on DMG shoulder sets, use coupon code "DMG4" for $4 off! Includes stand-alone version and full sets.
Hey everyone!

If you've been around for a while, you have probably seen my stuff here and there. One of the big things I do is make brackets and sets to add shoulder buttons to your builds. I've made plenty of different kinds, some I haven't even posted here, and its gotten to be a hassle going between a bunch of threads. So I decided to make this post with info on ALL of them in one place, for convenience. All of these items, plus more , can be bought from my site at www.GlitchdGaming.com

EVERY bracket here is compatible with every Kite AIO. To use them with a Kite AIO, do NOT solder the spacer boards to his daughter board with the usb port. My brackets will raise his daughter board to the appropriate height without the spacer boards. Soldering the spacer boards will actually prevent it from sitting right.

Also, since I started, many different websites have came up with similar awesome solutions. So I thank everyone who has still supported me and my work. I put a lot of time into testing designs and I do my best to make sure everything is the best it can be. Namely, location is a big thing for me. You will notice all of my brackets sit lower on the shell than other solutions out there. That is because location is very important to me, as the lower the buttons the sit, the more comfortable it feels (atleast for me). This requires some more complexity on the design side as it is not easy fitting everything in that tiny space, but it is worth it in my opinion. Just thought I'd add this in, in case location is an important factor for you too.

Here is the list of shoulder brackets I offer. Description and purchase links can be found in each spoiler, with more detailed description and installation instructions :
Standard DMG Button BracketShow
The most popular bracket by far. Adds 2 DMG buttons as your shoulder buttons. Utilizes custom printed bracket,PCB, and soft silicone switches. Recommended for your standard Gameboy Zero, when you want that nice soft press (like the front buttons) instead of the loud and stiff tactile switches.

Tactile Shoulder BracketShow
The first bracket I ever made. Adds 2 Tactile switches, with 12mm caps. Use this one if you want buttons that are bigger than standard DMG buttons, and like the feeling of that tactile "click". Much more comfortable than use simple tactile switches, where the skinny pegs dig into your finger.

4-button DMG BracketShow
Similar to the standard DMG set, except it lets you add 4 buttons instead. Useful for pi 3/cm3 builds such as Kite's where you need L2 and R2 buttons for more modern games. Picture below is actually of an earlier revision. New revision sits even lower, and now aligns with the standard DMG set, in case you decide later on to switch from a 2 button set to this 4 buttons set, you can still use the same drilled holes.

4-button Linear Bracket (New Item)Show

Lets you add 4 smaller buttons, all side by side. Recomended for pi3/cm3 builds such as Kite's where you need L2 and R2 buttons for more modern games. The linear design allows the buttons to sit lower and have them in a more reachable position. Uses soft switches like my other sets, not tactile, so that feel like the front buttons.

This bracket is very similar to Hoolyhoo's design. It is not a copy though, however. We were actually designing them at the same time, I just never posted them here before. I talked to Hooly while we were designing them, and he is fully aware of my solution and there is no conflict. A couple of differences between our designs are listed below:
  • Buttons on my bracket are aligned near the center, so they sit lower than Hooly's
  • My set includes a 3d printed bracket with wells, that keeps the buttons from wobbling around, and also prevents the buttons from protruding too much out of the case
Different button caps. Mine do not have ... as Hooly's

If my solution isn't to your liking, I would HIGHLY recommend buying from Hoolyhoo, as he offers a great set as well. And offers many other items you might be interested in as well.

Kite Shoulder BracketShow
Plastic set to use Kite's shoulder board that he provides with his set. FYI, EVERY bracket listed here will work for a Kite build. Every bracket was made to be the correct height, as to support Kite's USB board without soldering the spacer boards. And Every set I have is designed as to not impede anything that he provides. So rest assured that any of the shoulder sets will work just fine with your Kite board.

However, if you just want 2 buttons for your kite build, and don"t want to spend the extra money on a full shoulder button set from me (or anyone else for that matter), this is the absolute cheapest option you will find. As it is just the plastic brackets, and Kite supplies his own board.

I've been trying to make a set that works with a gba cart reader but I just don't think it's possible. I got it close, but the cart would stick out too much.
