since right now I don't have a good way to put a border around the glass insert.
Does the screen you have chosen work with the original screen protectors? It fits inside the borders? Or do you just want a modified decal to place over the original one?

So with this board there will be 3 screen options:

1. Composite screen, nicely fills the entire window area so there's plenty of screen real-estate. But requires heavy driver board modifications to get it thin enough, and thus you cannot fit the original screen protector in there along with it at all.

2. 2.8in SPI screen. This one fits almost perfectly within the viewing window of the original screen protector. The viewing window is maybe 1-2mm too wide for an exact perfect fit, but thankfully the extra part of the screen that shows is black, so it's not really noticeable. This is the screen option ABH used in his SP build, so you can see that as a reference. I don't have a screen protector right now to get pictures.

3. 3.2in SPI screen. This is the one where we would need a vinyl sticker of some sort. If you wanted you could set the overscan on the screen to exactly fit the original window opening, but you'd be losing a lot of pixels that way. Otherwise we can scrape away the original black outline of the screen protector and create a new black outline with a sticker, one that maximizes the viewing area of this bigger SPI screen.

Hopefully that makes some sense.

You could buy a glass SP screen protector and mask off the boarders with masking tape. If you use something like acetone you should be able to strip away unneeded paint and leave a clean border, if you mask it properly.

Yep, makes sense. I will be getting a plastic and a glass screen cover. I'm okay with adjusting over scan, but if it isn't too hard to remove the paint from a glass screen that wouldn't be too bad either. I don't think I have ever seen clear glass without any borders for an SP...

Yeah using tape could make a simple screen border. I actually tried using acetone to remove the paint from the original SP glass protector, but it didn't work for me. I was able to remove it all using an x-acto knife #17 blade (http://www.xacto.com/products/cutting-s ... etail/X217)

Put it flat against the glass and it basically shaved off the paint quite nicely, so I was left with clear glass
