PRS-TECH Micro SD wiring

Post by SSTrunkz » Mon Nov 14, 2016 2:13 am

Hi guys,

I've has a bit of trouble finding this information (probably due to being so vexxed at this time).

Does anyone have a wiring diagram showing what each of the 10 connectors on this board are meant to be? I'm stuck figuring out which pads i solder them to (as I keep getting shorts).

Thanks

Pete

Doesn't Wermy list which Pin goes to the corresponding test pad on the Pi Zero? Pretty sure it's the second Gameboy Zero Guide(All Custom Aftermarket) and the second video for that series. Right before he wires it all up he lists what pads to solder to... He also mentions that the wiring only applies if you're using the board from PRS. Just check that video and write it down as he says it. That's what I've been doing...

The issue I have with Wermy's video is that on his video, it starts at pin one, but there's no connectivity on it.

When I hold the multi meter pin to the first pad on the board (PRS one) and then check the pins for continuity, I get mine starting on pin 2 and then every other pin.

I just wanted to know which cart pad should be on each pad on the GBZ so I can understand and troubleshoot the problem myself.

Blindy following a video that would make me wrong won't help.

Asking the seller for info would be a smart move and also checking his sale threads which will likely have this information.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

I've asked prerunnerseth on his latest thread and we'll see what happens.

A lot of the issue I've had searching is that his thread get about as cluttered as your threads do, with tech support for a different board occurring on one! You see that many diagrams and photos of things that are different, sometimes it's hard to be 100% certain, especially when electronics are newer to you.

That being said, it could be the reader that's damaged,as my package looks like it got machined and thus a little squished.
