Cant get audio to work - all in one board

Post by slicknick654 » Sun Dec 11, 2016 9:33 pm

Hey guys,

Finally got my project nearly completed, only to find out my audio isnt working :( i rewatched all videos and made a few adjustments but still not finding luck. Im sure its a minor oversight on my part but ive double checked everything and cant figure it out. Here are a few pics of all my wiring, id be eternally grateful if someone notices the mistake! Thanks!!!

(Also worth noting i dont care for the headphone jack, so if theres an easier way which involves just the speaker to the all in one board that is fine. I tried that with the speaker + and gnd connection pads but no luck as well)

Edit: forgot to add the config file updates for using gpio pins 13/18. Still didnt fix the issue. Also noticed i accidently used the contrast wheel from the original gameboy instead of the thicker volume wheel, as well as messing up the order of the attached wires from the wheel to the aio board. Will start with that fix tomorrow and update with results.

If the config.txt is correct then the wiring is the problem, either the volume wheel or the headphone socket. Easiest way to tes it (I swear I've repeated this atleast 10 times) is to wire just the speaker in and not the headphone socket and also jump the pot connections with a jumper wire.

Wire setup:
Pot1>Pot4
Pot2>Pot3

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.
