Unable to turn on GBZ

I am currently using a Helder's 2.2a board, power boost 1000c, safe shutdown (power boost) to pi 0 w. For some reason when I have the power boost connected to charge via micro usb I am able to turn on the Pi but seems to not charge the battery because when I am disconnected from microusb the PI won’t turn on. Could someone help?
