Screen: Fuzzy & Pixelated

Post by jblayfield » Sun Jun 26, 2016 3:20 am

Hey Guys!
My screen looks kind of pixelated and fuzzy... :(
I'm using the Adafruit screen and have already checked my soldering points.
Does anyone know possible reasons for this?
The screen menu looks completely clear but for example I cant read the text when it is booting up...

This is how the screen looks.

Is your screen the 640×480 one or the 320x240 ? if it's the 640 one set your rez in the software to 640 if it's the 320 I'm pretty sure that's normal being a lower rez screen.

Thanks for your response, how can I change the resolution?

From my understanding you have to edit your software's setup file on your SD card to>
framebuffer_width=640
framebuffer_height=480

More info about that here>

Yer I got my screen working finally, a low res one and to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement! Very pixely and hard to read, but this is what it is!
I've always planned on building a version 2 once this is compete so will look at getting a better screen next time.

My guess is it's a 320x240 and thats the best you'll get out of it.
