Re: Wiring Diagram
I can confirm this works. @Camble is correct about the bat wire, it for sure won't stay powered on without it. I am powering everything off the powerstrip and not the pi and I do not have data lines going to the charge port and it starts up and shuts down perfectly

Re: Wiring Diagram
Pretty much my components also listed here in this thread, so this will be of much help for my upcoming build
Thank you guys!!
edit: actually I have a question.. in Helder's diagram from his support thread (here) I see that the 5V from the screen is wired to the power strip.
In the diagram in the first page of this thread the screen's 5V is wired to the RPi..
which one is correct? Or is it pretty much the same?

Thank you guys!!

I heard it could cause issues wiring it to the pi. I have mine wired to the power strip

So I'll follow Helder's wiring here, eh?SumCanadianGuy wrote:drafterITA wrote:Pretty much my components also listed here in this thread, so this will be of much help for my upcoming build

Re: Wiring Diagram
Very quick and very sloppy edit of how I wired mine up. You can see the thicker and not-so-straight lines. This is how I have mine working. Screen may vary, I had to have both pins hooked to the pi for mine.

Thank you very much for the updateSumCanadianGuy wrote:Very quick and very sloppy edit of how I wired mine up. You can see the thicker and not-so-straight lines. This is how I have mine working. Screen may vary, I had to have both pins hooked to the pi for mine.

do you know by chance how should I wire a red led to signal for the low battery?
it's my understanding that it should be wired to the LBO pad on the Safe Shutdown break board , and the ground also on the ground of the Safe Shutdown.. is it necessary to add a resistor before the led? or the ones already mounted on the Safe Shutdown will do the trick?

Cheers!

Re: Wiring Diagram
I just use the LED on the powerboost. I am planning on running a small fiber optic strand from the light to the side of the case then I don't have to mess with the powerboost at all.drafterITA wrote:Thank you very much for the updateSumCanadianGuy wrote:Very quick and very sloppy edit of how I wired mine up. well I don't want to mess with the powerboost, yet, so my question was about wiring the red led for the low battery notification to the Safe Shutdown break board.
Cheers!
