Those are the ones he used.

I bought 2 from here. They aren't exactly the same as Wermy used but they do the same thing.

No guarantees they work with the 3D printed parts.

What do you mean? After trimming the pieces down to the same size as Wermy shows, they should work. The only differences that I could tell was how much Wermy had to cut off compared to the ones I ordered.

do not mistake them for lcd replacement items, but they seem to be harder and harder to find on ebay so aliexpress might be the safest bet now :

Hello, first, thanks for this guide. Could you please upload some scheme or plan (diagram) for welding different components?
It's really difficult to follow each weld and avoid mistakes.
I follow this project from day one and I've already ordered all components.

I'm going to go through the video guides frame by frame (well almost) when it comes to the soldering parts so I can see exactly what is being done where. Then, I intend to slowly write down exactly what each one is in order to create a plan for myself to follow along with the videos. That approach might help you.

Incidentally Wermy if you read this, can I ask where you sourced the multicoloured ribbon cable for the volume control from? I want to try and follow along as closely as possible but I'm not sure what to search for when looking for that on ebay. I also haven't been able to find a cartridge reader on it's own, so I bought a broken ds lite from ebay to desolder it from, would that work alright? Thanks!

Honestly tho, I'm a total noob at this so I'm probably not the best source for reliable guides. If I were you, I'd just try out the same approach an see how you get on.

I've bought almost all of the parts and am excited to get started. Does it seem like it would be a big problem to try and skip the game cartridge and fashion an SD card reader into the side of the device? Seems like you could fit a much bigger battery that way.

It wouldn't be a problem so long as you think it doesn't ruin the look by having wires and a board on the outside of the case. It doesn't really significantly affect how big of a battery you can fit though since the cartridge is at the top of the case while the battery is in the bottom...

You are welcome. Pls, this diagram can have mistakes. Check It, before start solder parts. If anyone find bugs. that say around here, so that we can correct them.
