I am trying to put the "example code" into the pi directly since i dont have wifi on the pi and I cant do the # symbol. When i press shift + 3, i get a pound symbol instead. Is there a way to change this? or do i not need to imput the # symbols when copying the code. thanks ^^

@rodocop Both micro usb sockets have power lines connected so you can use any of them to supply power.

@king I checked some of your images and you have connected the red wire to 3.3v and not 5v. Please post recent pics with display board after you have soldered. I had the same screen and it worked nicely.

i set is as you told me
and did the configurations to make it recognize the smaller screen :)
