Hi Guys! I'm about to begin my first GBZ build. Any idea if this screen is going to work:

Hey guys currently I'm using a Hdmi to VGA adapter to get my (http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-034-LCD-key ... 2137248549?) Whatever this screen is called, working just to text and make sure everything is working and to get my roms onto my pi. I tried using the composite 1 wire but it makes the screen look terrible in comparison. Is there something in the config files I need to do to make it look better for my final build?

Hey guys i just ordered this display PD035VX2 and the seller accepted 70$ including shipping. Lets see how it turns up. Is vga that much better than composite or you compromising the hdmi?

Also are the HDMI + Touch displays 480x320 better than 320x240?

Just an update... I ended up with Helder's AIO 2.2 board using the VGA GERT, USB Sound Card and USB WIfi adapter. I haven't finished with all the GPIO testing, but if math is right, should have enough GPIO left over for Camble's shutdown board. Very happy with the VGA video :D

Important to note selection of Wifi USB device not only important for compatibility, but also for power usage. Between the 640x480 display, VGA GERT, USB Sound card and Wifi board, some of the Wifi adapters I used actually were pushing the Adafruit 1000C board and I was having issues.
Any chance on remapping the GPIO ?

Think it's impossible to get pd035vx2 very well centered in the case, even when you grind out some of the inner case walls, seems to me that we have to adjust overscan on the right side to get it fit into the screen glass surrounding.
I didn't notice that much of a difference on VGA v.s RCA

To all the folks who posted "just purchased, can't wait to try it!" ...

Can you please come back here and post how things went? Would love to hear from folks if this is a worthy upgrade as I just purchased another cheapie Amazon backup camera screen for $17 and the Adafruit LCD from Wermy's first build to see if I get better luck from either of those options.

Hi guys. Hoping someone might have run into this and be able to help me out.

I got this screen and board in today. I plugged it into my zero with a hdmi to vga converter and it works great. I got to playing around in the menu system of the screen and adjusted the horizontal adjustment. The display went blue and reads [NO SYNC] now. I tried to get back into the settings to change the horizontal adjustment back to 50 but the option for the adjustments are not on the menu any longer. I can switch from av to vga, rotate the screen, adjust brightness etc. but I can not find a way to undo what I did. I hoped that disconnecting power to the board would reset it but no such luck. Has anyone else had this issue?

Here is the screen menu where there used to be adjustments for horizontal and vertical adjustments.

Is there a noticeable difference between hdmi->vga and composite?

Yes. Also I have an HDMI to VGA adapter with audio out. The plan is to use that instead of a USB sound card and hub. Seems like unless I can figure out how to reset the board to factory settings I either have to use AV or order a new board for $30 and wait a few more weeks. :/
