500c, Is It Viable?

I'm not too sure if this works or not, I might just need to get a 1000c, but I don't know.
So my question is: will the 500c work for the Gameboy Zero (or in my case, the CGZ)??
Thank you in advance for responding.

The 500 vs 1000 just refers to the charging rate. If you are drawing more than 500mA while charging your battery (i.e playing on it while charging it) then your battery will wind up dying. In my tests I exceeded 500mA total draw, so I went with the 1000c so I could charge and play at the same time if I wanted. You can still charge it just fine with the unit off with the 500c, though, and it will supply enough power to the system while you are not charging it.
Hope this helps!

Wow, thank you @Wermy for responding. Eh, I planed not to play while charging anyway.

But you should! When the battery dies in the middle of a game you can just plug in an external powersource and finish your game.

Agreed. It's like $5 extra, and if you have to charge-n-play just once, you'll be glad you spent it.
