Audio / PVM or USB?

Hi there.

I'm at the point in my build where I have to decide. I have a USB DAC I was planning on using, but after finding out you cannot output sound through HDMI with it, I'm thinking going PVM. Is there any other obvious advantage or disadvantage to any option that I may not be aware of?

In case I go the PVM route, should I follow wermy's guide or is there any newer guide here in the forums?
