Hey all
I have a few SAIO boards and have come across the infamous "no usb hub LED" issue several time
Sometimes it's temperamental, sometimes it's always.. ..well, you get it, same problem y'all have
First off, the problem is NOT with @Kite's SAIO board, the problem is typically either the Raspberry Pi 0, or the solder
1. On the Raspberry Pi 0 W (wireless) i could swear that the USB test pads are slightly closer, thus making them more susceptible to shorting.
2. Your soldering. Too much, too little, too hot, too cold. Again, temperamental.
So the good news... ...if you have really F'd up, you will NEVER be able to remove your Pi 0 (unless you have a hot air rework station), and thus i present you my solution. For existing boards, and those not yet built
1. Get yourself some Micro USB DIY kits (they look like this), and you can read all about the
pinouts here

2. You ONLY need to connect two wires to the Micro USB (D+ and D-), YES, really
3. Use the USB cable (4 wire JST SH) that comes with @Kite's kit and solder D+ and D-

4. Now connect, the USB micro to the Pi and the other end to the SAIO
