Maybe a stupid question but how do you connect the power switch to the bankgood powerboost. Any reason i shouldnt use this one over the adafruit? Thanks

No reason not to use the banggood one. I think the only other thing an adafruit one has over it is the low battery led. I'd remove the usb connector and wire it like this if it was mine, as this should allow the battery to be recharged while the pi is off:

I also thought about doing this but i couldn't find a switch that is rated for 1a. Wouldn't it be safer to use a Pololu Mosfet Switch?

I think the pi zero running draws about 150mah. :?: The switch in the wiki is rated 500mah. What switch are you folks using? If you are powering high drain devices directly via the pi then yeah you would be wise to use something like you mention.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think ill give it a shot. These are substantially cheaper so as long as it works the same than i should be good to go! I guess the adafruit one just makes it easier to understand because of how its labelled and @wermy 's walk through.

I purchased a few and they work pretty well. I was surprised they hardly get warm at all while charging which is good. Seemed to charge around 0.8amp and not 1amp though. Trying to figure out a good place to put one in my latest build seems to be the challenge.

How would you wire the battery to this exactly since there is no plug like the adafruit?

I got mine today.
The battery goes across the B+ and B- pads at the board edges.
