I have found what seems to be a quite decent price for a 3.5" screen on eBay that is quite suitable for GBZ projects.

Tianma TM035KDH03 with a driver board and cable, from this seller.

Here is what a couple of people have to say about 5V modding and generally using it:

I will provide updates when it gets here and I am able to test it out. The seller accepted an offer for 8 dollars, they also have a few 10x lots for 40 dollars.

I bought the screen on Amazon and the brand of the screen is STONE.
The seller is Stone Technology.

Viewing Area: 112.9 mm × 84.7 mm
Overall Dimension: 143.5mm×107.4mm×15.8mm(N)/17.4mm(T)

Here are the photos

As seen in the photo, J25 shorted can only use a 5v power supply, if not shorted can use a 5-35v power supply.

This is a simple project I made using the screen: https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Us ... d-STONE-S/

Came accross this http://www.gigaparts.com/3-5-LCD-Displary-Pi.html seems they have the screen in stock. Postage costs for me are way too high even more than the screen so going to give it a miss.
