What's Everyone's Battery Life?

Post by RxBrad » Wed Oct 05, 2016 3:00 pm

After watching @wermy's videos, I was kind of expecting around 4hrs. I just went 2hrs on a fresh charge (with audio over the speaker) before @Popcorn's low battery script shut off my GBZ.

Parts:
- Pi Zero
- This 2500mAh battery
- The BW version 7 screen
- This USB hub
- Generic Arduino Leonardo Mini board
- PAM8403 Amp with PWM Audio (Pi -> PWM circuit -> amp -> pot -> headphone -> speaker)

What's everyone else seeing?

@Frodowills Here's the link. Camble's shutdown switch uses a modified version of this script (which is what I'm actually using).

https://github.com/NullCorn/GBZ-Power-Monitor

EDIT: Yes, as the post below this one states.. you need both hardware and software for the shutdown switches.

It sounds like you're misunderstanding. The script is meant to be paired with the hardware. Without the hardware the script is useless, and vice versa. Camble's board needs both hardware and software as well.

@RxBrad what did you end up using to monitor low battery, popcorns circuit to red led or cambles LBO diode?

On a side note my battery is a 2600 mah that fits in battery compartment without having to modify it and I get around 2 1/2 hours out of it.
