Found some ultra low-profile USB OTG adapters

Post by Cannikin » Fri May 13, 2016 11:14 pm

Looks like this is about as small as you can get! If you only need a single USB device connected this thing might be perfect: http://www.amazon.com/Readeel-2-Pack-ad ... B014IT6ASO

Also, here's a nice OTG hub if you want to test some stuff out before soldering: http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Powered-C ... B00LTHBCNM

Yes, they are good so far.
Bought myself a few here, for 0,89$.
Or here with a pouch.

Looks way more compact that the USB hub that wermy used in his build. If you don't need an actual female socket and just want to wire boards together from their USB connections this seems like the most compact way to do it.

Yeah this is nice looking, super small. I just used what I had laying around. :)

Also just fyi, since we're going to wire up the hub directly to the USB pads on the back of the pi, you're not limited to OTG usb hubs -- you can basically get whatever you want.
