Found some ultra low-profile USB OTG adapters

Yes, they are good so far.
Bought myself a few here, for 0,89$.

Looks way more compact that the USB hub that wermy used in his build. If you don't need an actual female socket and just want to wire boards together from their USB connections this seems like the most compact way to do it.

Yeah this is nice looking, super small. I just used what I had laying around. :)

Also just fyi, since we're going to wire up the hub directly to the USB pads on the back of the pi, you're not limited to OTG usb hubs -- you can basically get whatever you want.
