Using the adafruit microSD card breakout board?

Hey I was looking at using one of the micro SD card breakout boards for my SD cartridge reader.

I have one of the kitsch bent boards and wanted to know if this would work with it:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/254

I assume it would and would get rid of the need for the capacitors right? On the cartridge board, that is. Since it has a couple capacitors on the breakout.
Is there anything else I need to know?

Those caps look like power decoupling for the voltage regulator and the chip on there. I doubt it's for filtering unless the chip filters the signals which I'm uncertain of.

That breakout might only work with the Ardunio, but I'm not sure.
