Missing controls for more advanced consoles

Post by PotaTox » Sat Jan 07, 2017 5:06 pm

In some Pi3 builds I have seen, people have put in an analog stick/L2+R2/both, but I have not seen a build with all the controls of PS1 (L3+R3, Triggers, dual analog sticks) (also, most builds don't have c buttons for N64). Does this ever stop people from playing some games? Should I try and put in 2 analog sticks, or is it not worth the effort?

It is my understanding that the pi3 will barely do n64 emulation. There are a few games that are playable but most are not. The zero will not play any n64 games. So why bother with the controls?

Not sure if this is still of interest, but the Pi3 plays Bomberman64 and MarioKart64 just fine. In Bomberman sometimes the sound is a bit crackling, but nothing too bad. Haven't tried any other N64 games so far.

With the controls of the Xbox360 controller I didn't have any issues playing those two games.
