Pads 22 and 23 not transfering data to USB hub from Pi
Pads 22 and 23 not transfering data to USB hub from Pi
I've everything powered up, but I can't transfer data between the Pi and the targus, I can plug in something like a phone charger and and charge my phone or anything along those lines, but a keyboard is a no-go? Any suggestions? I'm open for them, I'm totally new to all of this.

Hello, I have the same problem. I got everything working except my USB Hub.
Did you already resolve your problem?

Soldering of 22 and 23 doesn't look that tidy, are you sure there's no join between the 2?
Also, check the other end to ensure no solder has flowed that could touch the other wire / pad or connection etc.
If that's all good, check for any power wires in close proximity as this can affect the data wires. It's also recommended to twist the white and green data wires together.

My USB Hub works! I don't know exactly what was wrong but I soldered it again and took power from the powerstrip instead of directly from the Pi Zero.

Ill try that out and take some closer looks at the connections.Lphillimore wrote:Soldering of 22 and 23 doesn't look that tidy, are you sure there's no join between the 2?

Re: Pads 22 and 23 not transfering data to USB hub from Pi
It looks all relatively fine to me, I just don't get it. Power is being sent through, I can charge something with the open USB from the hub, but no data can be transferred, I just don't get it

- I see this is kinda blurry, but they're all secured connections and nothing is touching each other here except for what should be.

Re: Pads 22 and 23 not transfering data to USB hub from Pi
I used an AIO on my first build and haven't yet used a USB hub - I will on my next build and have the hub ordered.
Its hard to say from the pictures you've posted however I found that on my built, the longer wires were messed about with, moved etc. the more I needed to replace them or they snapped off from the solder point from being overworked.
One also became unreliable.
Might be a good idea to remove all wires, re-solder pads, prep etc. and start again on this bit?
