Post by Sam_shep » Sun Jan 29, 2017 9:51 am

Just playing zelda and I've just realised I don't know how to save, I did a google search and it's says to press right trigger and select. But when I try that I goes to slow motion?
Thanks sam

Select and X, then will bring up a menu, whatever top option (not got it here too check) is click that then scroll down to save.
To load is as above but under the save option is a load tab.

@Sam_shep What controller are you using?

Standard save states in emulators for NES, SNES, and Playstation are as below. I have seen video comments of others not being able to get save states to work, but I do not know if they solved the issue. I just wanted to confirm the below is pretty common way of saving in Retro Pie.

Save State: Hold [right trigger] then press [Select] (Trying to hit them both at the same time at times may not work).
Load State: Hold [left trigger] then press [Select]

You can save to and load from multiple save slots.
To Select a Different Slot to save to: Hold [Select] then press [right] on the D-pad. This will scroll you through Save State 1, 2, 3, etc.
To load a Different Slot: do the step above and choose you save slot. Then do the "Load State" process above.

If you go onto retroarch settings you can select you hotkey input to what you want then save the configuration before you leave
