Hello, after seeing lots of great projects on here I have decided to give this a go myself (I have zero experience)

I have been purchasing parts that I have seen from guide and so on.

My question if any one can help please is, before I start have I missed any parts that I need? (battery is on the way)

So far I have not purchased many tools apart from the screw driver, I have a solder iron and solder on the way with a grip to help hold. Are all the other tools definitely required?

I don't see a teensy in that photo or silicon pads. A dremmel would make things easier also.

You don't really need a teensy if you plan to solder directly to the pi's gpio pins. And like the other poster said get some silicone button pads. I've also noticed that some gameboy shells I have bought from ebay didn't come with enough screws. I had a bunch laying around so that wasn't a big deal.

It looks like you have everything though. A dremel tool is nice but you could get away without one...(I bought a cheap WEN brand and it's good enough).

You said you didnt buy many tools but make sure you have some pliers and cutters, and some knives help too. You'll also need some drill bits and a drill too.

Oh yeah. You might want a nice screen cover from retrofresh.uk.

Well, powerboost is from Adafruit - there are others, but not that good/powerful, so Adafruit is the safest and expensive option.

But you can use pretty much anything, cut up some ethernet cable or a USB cable...

any reasonable tool should be fine.... your only really going to be using it on plastics.....

You already have the banggood power supply in your photo so the Adafruit Powerboost is not needed unless you really want it. Dremel is a name brand which has become synonymous with a rotary tool. It is not cheap but good quality. As the other poster said though, for this project your only shaping light plastic so most any rotary tool would work just fine. For making nice round holes, I would buy a step drill bit. Makes front x,y holes easier and cleaner.
