V1 PCB and wiring question

Hey Guys
Did a search, couldn't find the answer.
I'm anxious to get my GBZ started and looks like there's no plans to make anymore AIO PCB's, so I'm left with buying a V1 from ebay

My question is, do I just wire this directly to the Raspberry Pi Zero, or do I need to buy a Teensy-LC and wire that to the PCB and then to the Pi?
Thanks guys
Tal

See Wermys original guide for GBZ
This can be wired directly to Pi Zero but it's recommended to use a Teensy

The teensy is recommended or we must have one ?
Because in a lot of turorials i don't see teensy and they wiring on the pi all the buttons.
I have the same PCB and i want to be sure i can use it like that without buy an other thing ^^

@Valadone
If you don't want to use a teensy then follow this guide:

I used the same style PCB in my first build and did not use a teensy, I have had no issues with the controls wired directly to the pi's GPIO's.

Thanks a lot !
EDIT : And for recalbox ( out of the box when you add something on the code )
https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os ... llers-(EN) but not sure for Rasp Pi 0
