Either way, i've followed guides so far, but i have yet to find one using/mentioning the 2.5 inch screen from adafruit with part no. 912. According to some guides i've found it seems to work off of 5V without modding, but it also looks like it's using an older controller board than the one adafruit is currently shipping with.
My question is if anyone of you more skilled at these things could tell me if it's possible to volt-mod the unit, and if so; how? https://www.adafruit.com/product/912
Also, why are we not using the 5V gipo pin output when powering these screens, it seems like the simpler option? Or would the overall power draw be too big for the pi to handle? Or could i simply wire the monitor to the 5v gipo of the pi?
Currently i'm in posession of:
Pi zero
GBC Case
Intend to use the GIPO pins for the buttons, so no teensy board is required.
What i (think) i need is:
Audio amp https://www.adafruit.com/products/2130 (out of stock, any alternatives?)
Speaker https://www.adafruit.com/products/1890
Screen https://www.adafruit.com/product/912
Powerbooster 1000 https://www.adafruit.com/products/2465 or https://www.adafruit.com/products/2030
Battery (easier to come by so i'll get one later when i know what kind of space i'm working with)
Apart from the questions i'm just looking for some confirmation/critique of my plans, i'm ear deep in unknown waters here.
